A Week In Cymru
A Week In Cymru
We had a great time in Wales this summer. Everything was so nice, and green, and charming, and...British! Just fabulous, despite all the rain and flooding.
We stayed with Fiona in Raglin. There was a castle, and an old church, and a pub! Everything a terribly American tourist could want. I kept taking pictures of signs with Welsh on them. Such a dork, no wonder Fiona kept laughing at me. They were very nice to us the day that we left and had to load our giant suitcases onto the itty bitty bus. I felt compelled to explain that we had visited a friend, were going home for the summer, lived in Kuwait, etc.
London was very nice, we’d like to go back for more than a few hours though. We walked around but were so tired that we ended up going to the hotel around 3pm. It was our third sunny day, what a great way to end the trip.

favorites

Place: I liked so many! Probably Raglin Castle in Wales and the Parliament building in London.
New Reading: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby
TV Shows: Countdown, and some “ER” type show where the main doctor has purple streaks in her hair.
