We had a great time in Dubai this past weekend.  As it’s known for it’s shopping, I thought it would be rather ironic if we stayed at the Kempenski Hotel inside of the Mall of the Emirates (the one with the indoor ski slope).  Mostly all of the cool outdoors things were too far away and we were really there just for one night.

We checked out the movies, hit the bookstores, and had a bite to eat.  There were a lot of places we could have gone, but as the choices were overwhelming, we stayed at the hotel for dinner and drinks.  The hotel by the way, was AWESOME!  Some how we got a Grand Deluxe Room.  Aaahhh!!! It was gorgeous; we took pictures of features that we liked to keep in mind for our own house.

Patrick and I got the Nintendo DS Lites that he had been wanting along with quite a few books and the normal smuggling supplies.

In the end we were rather malled out, and were ready to go home.  Nothing extraordinary, but a much need rest!
